It'll definitely be a white Christmas this year

It's only December 21 and already we have close to two feet of snow outside. Below are some shots I snapped this morning after shoveling. I now need to go back out there and clear the six inches that have fallen since. This is storm #3 this month. The first was ice (see older blog entries), then snow on Friday and again today. We're expecting some kind of precipitation every day until Christmas, with another potentially heavy load of snow on Christmas Eve. I'm loving it, save for the road conditions.

we didn't get two feet, but we got about 15 inches since friday evening in eastern MA. I'm not a native New Englander (from the mid atlantic states), but this year I decided to purchase a snow blower. Even tho' it's not easy to use, it's definitely a back saver. So I say bring on more snow!!

In Southern New England, we are expecting rain on Christmas Eve and temps in the 40s.

Until then, we have about a foot of the white stuff.

Cheers and merry Xmas!!

Looks very similar up here in Montreal. Snow and freezing winds -- ho, ho, ho!

Have a holly, jolly, btw -- plenty of egg nog will take away the chill, or at least make you not care about it so much ;)

I certainly hope we don't get any precip in western NY on the 24th, that's the day I drive home. 96 is a real bitch of a road when the snow is drifting across those farmlands. Ugh. I'd say we've probably got about 14" of snow in Fairport, with significantly more just north of us.

I'm loving this winter season so far.
