Company name change from Blue Sky to eHelp, bought by Macromedia, liquidated to nothing, bought by Adobe, resurrected, version-stamped back in time, marketed as an active product, and now is claimed to be missing from Adobe's SEC and Investor Relations documents.
WTF?
Sounds like Charles wasn't entirely correct though, since there was mention of this in the SEC/investor documents, as Sarah O'Keefe points out.
In an interesting twist, the thread on HATT concerning this RoboHelp issue has since turned around to ask Charles about his agenda with raising issues in this manner.
So is the future of RoboHelp known? Yes, as some list members have mentioned that they've attended sessions with RJ (product evangelist) in which RoboHelp 7 was specifically mentioned. Also, Adobe's TechComm blog indicates the product is alive and well.
Also, Vivek (product manager) spoke up on HATT in RoboHelp's defense:
RoboHelp continues to be the market leader among the HAT tools. As you know, we released Adobe RoboHelp 6 earlier this year. I am happy to share with all of you that RoboHelp is on an accelerated development track. We demonstrated RoboHelp features under development at the STC conference in Minneapolis in May 2007. A large number of bloggers have reported on the sneak peeks and if you are looking for more information, you can visit this thread on Adobe Forums. [link] You can also visit our team blog at http://blogs.adobe.com/techcomSo there you have it. By all evidence so far, RoboHelp is still alive and well. Meanwhile, Charles may have some cleanup to do on HATT given how the thread is going.m .
RoboHelp next version is currently in the pre-release program. The pre-release program was opened for public subscription in June 2007 and we recently closed the subscription as we have exceeded our target number of pre-release participants. Needless to say, RoboHelp is actively being developed and supported.

Raw Data Bill...
I checked Sarah's source, page ten doesn't have anything listing RoboHelp as part of the 'Other' Segment as far as I could tell.
Did you or she find any further documentation that states that RoboHelp is part of the 'Other' category?
Maybe it was a mistaken linked doc?
I'm sure she found something somewhere that says RoboHelp is part of the 'Other' segment. However I'm not seeing it in anyone's raw data hyperlinked content.

Actually there were quite a few products missing from the reports, and all are niche products or what I would assume are otherwise low income products. Remember, RoboHelp lost a huge new sale market share when everythign at Macromedia started to go south in 2004. I wouldn't be surprised if the reportings (it'd be listed under Developer Tools) omitted it because cash flow was below a certain threshold. But at any rate, if you want answers to this, the ONLY place you're bound to get them is through Investor Relations... Not HATT, not your blog, or my blog, or Sarah's blog. Continuing to do so indeed rings of a hidden agenda.
